We feel like we haven’t talked about The Hills in forever! It’s just a few more weeks ’til we have our dosage of The Hills again, although in case you’ve forgotten, this time it will be different; Lauren will not be in it anymore, Kristin will!

Yes, now that The Hills Season 5 is officially over, and with the appearance of Lauren Conrad’s replacement Kristin Cavallari at Speidi’s wedding, it was sure a mix of sad, glad, and well, dislike for us.
We are of course sad that Lauren will no longer be on the next season, but we are glad that she is now officially off the cameras, so we can have more privacy, and not having to deal with messy and awkward moments for the world to see (guess we will just have to rely on those LC fan blogs then, huh?)
And judging from the preview of next season, with Kristin bringing unnecessary drama as usual, isn’t that just lame? Because here she is, with a big shoes to fill after Lauren, and she is trying to get on everyone’s nerve once again on reality tv. Just by watching the preview, it’s like watching Laguna Beach all over again, just with different cast! Urgh..
Anyhoo.. all the best to you, Lauren! We’re sure gonna miss you! We hope your book L.A. Candy will do well! We’ll surely get a copy of it!

So since we got to see the Irish trio group called The Script on this week’s episode on The Hills (and Audrina was the one in charge of them during their performance an got to chat with them! She’s so lucky!), we thought we would feature them here on our Soundtrack Saturday this week.
Why The Script? Well, why NOT them? We fell in love with them the moment they came out with their first single called We Cry, and what more of The Man Who Can’t Be Moved! Such a beautiful song! Much better than the pop songs we hear today with their shallow lyrics!
Anyway, since The Script sang Before The Worst on the episode, we thought we would post the same song, but with just a different video to it. And the video above with a live version of them singing it, and personally we like it much better as you can hear the instruments on the song as well.

You have all have probably heard that Laguna Beach Kristin Cavallari will replace Lauren Conrad in The Hills, but haven’t we seen this scenario before? Didn’t it bombed?
If you do not know what I am talking about, remember Laguna Beach Season 1, where Lauren was one of the main star of the show, alongside Kristin, and on Season 2, Kristin took over the lead role, and the show tanked from then on?
Kristin is already confirmed to be part of The Hills cast next season, debuting at Speidi’s wedding recently.
Also, rumor has it that Lauren will not be leaving The Hills after all? Despite what had been confirmed about her retiring from the show, Lauren is rumored to still be in negotiation with the producers on her contract. A source says, “She kind of realized, especially in this economy, there’s not much else out there for her. What else can she do that would earn as much?” Yeah, for just 4 days a week, with $75,000 per episode? Why would anyone want to throw that away?
But is this rumor true? Guess we will just have to wait and see! We leave you with this short preview of Lauren’s upcoming appearance on Family Guy, as herself.
